Carol Emily McClain Carson, 67, passed away November 2, 2024, in Rosepine, Louisiana. Carol was born to Ralph "Mac" and Glenna Krant McClain in Fairbanks, Alaska on February 22, 1957. Besides Alaska, she lived in West Virginia, California, Arizona and Louisiana. She was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, getting baptized in 1985. Carol was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed creative crochet.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Carson; brother, Ed McClain; nephew, Ed McClain Jr; husband's son, Dan Carson; and grandson, Christian Hoskins.

She is survived by nieces, Jennifer McClain Paskewitz and Michelle McClain; nephew, Judah McClain; along with grand-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by her husband's daughters, Molly Hoskins, Judith Palavecino, and Lydia Mills and their families. Other surviving family members are Sylvia McClain, Kim M. W. McClain Musgrove, Joianna Carson, Brianna Pottschmitt, Azar Carson, Kristina Nordmark, and Kathleen Carson.

A private service will be held at a later date.
