Brenda Irene
Yuengel

In Loving Memory of Brenda Irene Yuengel
December 5, 1951 - July 29, 2025
Brenda Irene Yuengel, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, teacher, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 73. Her passing leaves a deep and tender space in the hearts of all who knew her, but more importantly, her life leaves a lasting legacy of grace, compassion, and unwavering love.
Born on December 5, 1951, to Walter and Celia Hahs, Brenda grew up with a heart full of kindness and a calling to serve others. That calling became her lifelong mission. At the age of 16, she began teaching Sunday school, a ministry she never walked away from throughout her life. Whether in the church, at Christian schools both in Illinois and Texas, or later in the public schools working with children with special needs, Brenda poured her whole heart into nurturing young minds and tender hearts. Her classroom was always a place of encouragement, and faith, where every child felt seen, safe, and loved.
Her passion for teaching led her into work that impacted countless lives, many of whom still carry her influence with them today.
She was a quiet light in a noisy world. Gentle yet incredibly strong, steadfast in her faith, and rich in wisdom, Brenda had a way of making everyone feel like they mattered. She was a safe place for the hurting, a joyful presence in times of celebration, and a true reflection of Christ's love in both word and action.
Brenda is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Robert "Bob" Yuengel; her children, Anthony Scott Yuengel and wife Tamara, and Dawn Michelle Yuengel and husband Luke; her treasured grandchildren, Makayla Yuengel, Montanna Yuengel, Preston Phillips, and Peyton Yuengel; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Raelynn Bullock, Brennex Bullock, and Kaden Yuengel. She is also survived by her siblings, Ruby Schaefer and husband Jim, Mary Holston and husband Travis, and Paul Hahs and wife Miranda.
She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Walter and Cecilia Hahs, and her brother, Walter "Chip" Hahs.
Brenda's life was a testimony of selfless love and a beautiful example of what it means to live in service to others. Though she is no longer physically present, the seeds she planted in the hearts of so many will continue to bloom for generations to come. Her love, her laughter, and her quiet strength will be forever missed, and never forgotten.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 4, 2025, at Abundant Life Church, Willis, Texas. Pastor Dave Stovall and Rev.
