Brenda Trahan Laughlin was born February 8, 1954, and passed away March 24, 2026, at the age of 72.

Brenda leaves behind a life filled with simple joys and deep love. She found happiness in everyday moments-playing bingo, working on word searches and puzzles, and taking pride in her collection of earrings and jewelry. She enjoyed keeping a warm and welcoming home through cooking, cleaning, and caring for those around her.
Above all else, she loved her family more than anything. They were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her kindness, dedication, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Joseph Laughlin and Bobby Laughlin and wife Clarissa; grandchildren, Christina Melton, Kayla Melton, Christopher Melton, Erica Melton, Lindsey Melton, Allyson Laughlin, and Ciara Brooks; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Robertson and husband Clarence; niece and caretaker, Carolyn Meche; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Laughlin; son, Eric Melton; great grandchildren, Neveah Melton and Sasha Laughlin; parents, Marshal and Lillian Trahan; and brother, Donald Trahan.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2026, and continuing from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Riley Smith & Sons - Reeves, 219 Ford Street, Reeves, Louisiana. Bro. Arvin Harrell will be officiating. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Ragley, Louisiana.
