Brandy a beloved wife, mother, teacher, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2025. She was 44 years old.
Brandy was a devoted wife to her husband, Jeffrey, and a loving mother to her two sons, Jey and Joey. She was a dedicated member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism and helped with Vacation Bible School. She also attended Kinder Bible Church alongside her husband.
For 20 years, Brandy dedicated her career to educating students at Kinder Elementary and later Kinder Middle School. A beloved teacher, she was known for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for her students and colleagues. Always willing to lend a helping hand, she was a cherished member of the school community.
Beyond her professional life, Brandy was a vibrant and vivacious individual who loved to travel, spend time with friends, and celebrate life with laughter, joy, and lots of glitter. She had a magnetic personality and a knack for making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Brandy with a Y had a sparkling spirit and infectious smile that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Brandy's love for her family was unwavering. She was a devoted caregiver to her loved ones, always putting their needs before her own.
Brandy will be deeply missed by her husband, Jeffrey; her sons, Jey and Joey; her family and friends along with the countless students whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Manuel II; sons, Jeffrey "Jey" Manuel III and Joseph Bryce Manuel; father, Roderick LaPoint; brother, Jason LaPoint; father and mother-in-law, Lane and Carolyn Manuel; sister-in-law, Aimee LeDoux (Chuck), and brother-in-law, Bruston Manuel; along with two nephews Clay and Cash LeDoux and a host of family and friends.
She is preceded in passing by her mother, Charlotte Paxson LaPoint.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary, led by Patrick LaPoint, beginning at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 607 4th Ave, Kinder, Louisiana. Father Alan Trouille will be officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery, Elton, Louisiana.
