Obituary

Bradley Trahan, a father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at the age of 72.  He was born on June 17, 1952. Bradley's life was a testament to his strong work ethic, his love for his family, and his infectious sense of humor.

A graduate of Reeves High School, Class of 1972, Bradley dedicated many years to his career as a longshoreman at the Port of Lake Charles. He found enjoyment outdoors, particularly while hunting.  He was also a devoted Harley Davidson enthusiast, finding himself on the open road. Above all, Bradley cherished his family.  His love for them was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by all.

He is survived by his children, Rachel Brister & husband, Patrick, Angelee Manuel & husband, Melvin, and Bradley Joseph "BJ" Trahan; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Austin, Tarrence, Clint, Dontae, Ethan, Malachi, Zakiyah, Malaika, and Zipporah; 3 great grandchildren; 7 brothers & sisters.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Tamsey & Lucille Trahan; son, Shannon Scott Trahan; grandson, Dominick Chambers.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 1:00 p.m., until the start of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m., in the Reed Chapel at Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana. The interment will follow at Green Oak Cemetery.
