Bobbie Jean Macey was born to Rev. Ira H. Jones and Dorothy Casey Jones on August 20, 1930, and she passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 96.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Dorothy Jones; her husband, Norman J. Macey Jr.; eight siblings; and her son, Larry Paul Macey.
She is survived by her children, Norman Macey III and wife, Sharon; Ron Macey and wife, Jeanna; and Darla Womack and husband, Bobby.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Adam Macey and wife, Sophie; Kayla Davis and husband, Justin; Brandon Macey and wife, Chesney; Brittany Wells and husband, Tauren; Alyssa Pace and husband, Keith; and Erica Green and husband, Jared; along with 20 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Bobbie's love for the Lord and ministry began at an early age. During her teenage years, she sang in a trio with her sisters, Helen and Billie, after their father became pastor of a church in Kashmere Gardens, which later became Stonewall Pentecostal Church. Their family ministry extended to the radio, where their father preached and the trio sang on a program broadcast on KLEE.
After her father passed away, Bobbie and her sisters continued singing for Pastor O. W. Williams, both at church and on the radio. They also had the honor of singing at the very first camp meeting in Lufkin, Texas, where they sang on opening night under a tent.
Bobbie and her husband, Norman, faithfully served the church in many ways throughout their lives. They were longtime members of Life Tabernacle and Mount Houston Pentecostal Church; and for many years, they worked together in the church bookstore at Royalwood Church, serving others with love and dedication.
Bobbie's life was marked by her love for the Lord, her family, music, and ministry. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith that will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
Family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Royalwood Church, Houston, Texas. Interment to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, Houston, Texas.
