Billy Gene McMurrough was born October 24, 1940, and passed away December 12, 2024, at the age of 84. Billy retired from the Goodyear Chemical Plant. He enjoyed working on cars and tinkering on lawn mowers. Billy loved his family more than anything and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 63 1/2 years, Patricia McMurrough; children, Susan Harris and Kenny McMurrough; grandson, Billy Gene Holmes and wife Tammy; honorary grandson, Joe Harden; great grandchildren, Taylee Holmes and Brantley Holmes; and brother, Ronny McMurrough.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Ivy Ione McMurrough; brother, Bobby McMurrough; and son-in-law, Michael Harris.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2024, at Abundant Life Church, 12165 Hwy 75 N, Willis, Texas. Rev. Dave Stovall will be officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, Texas.
