It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious Benjamin Matthew Plowden, who left us on September 22nd, 2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana, at just one year old. Born on March 17th, 2024, Benjamin brought immense joy and light into the lives of all who knew him.

Benjamin was a confident, friendly, and happy boy who filled every moment with laughter and love. He loved music, singing, kittens, and dance, and was always eager to share his playful spirit. Benjamin was especially attached to his momma and adored spending time with his siblings-Kasasha Olivia, Leonard James Jr., Libya Juliet, Kaleah Jasmine, Judah Isaiah, Beloved Zipporan, Charity Leann, and Shiloh Jeremiah. He cherished his time attending Victory Lighthouse Church and was a beloved presence among his church family.

Benjamin is survived by his loving parents, Kaheliah Mae King Plowden and Leonard James Plowden Sr., his devoted siblings, and his grandmother, Kaye Lorraine King.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Benjamin Kelly and Wimer Plowden Jr., and grandmother, Karen Jackson-Plowden.

Though his time with us was brief, Benjamin's memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.

Family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m., October 4th, 2025, at Victory Lighthouse Church 1606 N Lafitte Rd. Abbeville, LA 70510. Interment to follow at St. Paul Catholic Church Cemetery 515 Jacqulyn St. Abbeville, LA 70510.
