Barbara Anne Austin, of Kinder, Louisiana, born July 13th, 1951 and passed away on September 26th, 2026 at the age of 75. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered on her family.

Barbara, Barb, Barbie, mom, Grammy, Babe....whatever the title, she fulfilled them all with such spunk! Barbara was known for her cooking and entertaining. There was never a visiting preacher to come by that she didn't host, never a group of neighborhood kids that she didn't feed, and never a needy friend that she didn't take care of! She loved people and she loved being the life of the party!

Her greatest gift in life was her husband, Bill. He doted on her and loved her fiercely! He even set an ice chest next to her bed each morning before work with her Diet Coke and pop tart. What a glorious reunion that must have been when they met again!

Barbara's grandkids could match no other joy for her! She loved them more than they knew and spoiled them with restaurants, trips, shopping, etc. They always knew if their parents said no, there was a yes on the other side and she loved that!

Before life and health took their toll on her mind, she worked as a bank teller, Grand Casino Coushatta Gaming Commission and most importantly housewife and Grammy.

She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in knowing that God's plans are perfect and she is reunited with Him.

Survived by her children, Marla Sanders and husband Chad, William Joseph "Joey" Austin IV and wife Erin Carlson, Kimberly Edwards husband Nick; her grandchildren, Makenna Hardwick and husband Trevor, Annsley Vallette and husband Nick, Libby Sanders, Riley Edwards, Sabine Austin, Daria Austin, and John-Ryan Edwards; her great-granddaughter, Vivienne Hardwick; her sister, Nancy Tatum and husband Ed.

She is preceded in death by her spouse, William "Bill" Austin III; and her parents, Charles Gordon and Gloria Cupples.

She will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in knowing that God's plans are perfect and she is reunited with Him.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for a time of visitation and continue Thursday, October 1st, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at Reed Chapel, Riley Smith & Sons, 315 N. 14th Street, Kinder, Louisiana.

Interment will follow at Green Oaks Cemetery Kinder, Louisiana.
