Amanda Lynn Abrusley was born on March 2, 1981, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Paul Ronald Abrusley and Debra Lynn Maddox. She passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in Lake Charles at the age of 45.

Amanda graduated from Oakdale High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree. She taught at Oakdale Elementary School for four years, touching the lives of her students and colleagues. She enjoyed arts and crafts, but her greatest joy was the love she shared with her children and family.

Amanda will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her years of service as an educator, and the creativity she expressed through her favorite hobbies.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her three children, Ethan Paul McGee, Abigail McGee, and Elijah Ian Smith; her parents, Paul Ronald Abrusley and Debra Lynn Maddox; her brother, Paul Daniel Abrusley; and many other family members and friends.

Amanda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Cremation was entrusted to Riley Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
