Alice Fawnelle Powell, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, in The Woodlands, Texas. A memorial service to honor Alice will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Cowboy Church of Orange County.

On Friday, February 7, 1947, Alice was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Carrie Gladys (McClure) and Luther Lloyd Prestridge. Alice's passion was being an artist. This was her primary hobby and work. She enjoyed teaching art classes, such as watercolor technique. Alice was a valued member of the Cowboy Church of Orange County and dedicated her life to serving the Lord, and spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish Alice's memory are Linda Hubble (sister), Michael South (son), Steve South (son), Dane South (son), Gary Hubble (nephew), Tim Hubble (nephew), Derrick South (grandson), Joshua South (Grandson), Keilah South (granddaughter), Bailee South (granddaughter), Brynlee South (granddaughter), Haven South (granddaughter) Piper South (granddaughter) and Jude South (great-granddaughter).

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Carrie Prestridge, numerous members of extended family; and dear friends.

Arrangements were made under the care of Dorman Funeral Home.
