Obituary

Aida Bray was born July 6, 1932, and passed away August 16, 2026, at the age of 94.

We celebrate the life of Aida Bray, a remarkable woman whose kindness, generosity, and love touched so many lives.

Aida was, first and foremost, a dedicated teacher. Teaching was more than a profession for her; it was a calling. She believed in the potential of those she taught and gave her time, energy, and heart to helping others learn, grow, and succeed. The impact she made through her work extended far beyond the classroom, reaching generations of students whose lives were enriched by her guidance, patience, and encouragement. Many invited her to their weddings and other events years after attending her classes in elementary school.

What made Aida truly special was her selfless nature. She had an extraordinary ability to put others before herself. Whether someone needed support, advice, comfort, or simply a listening ear, Aida was always there. She gave freely of her time, her compassion, and her love. She cared deeply for the people around her and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. For Aida, caring for others wasn't something she did occasionally; it was simply who she was.

But while Aida was known for her generosity and dedication, she also knew how to bring joy into every room she entered. She loved to dance. She loved to laugh. She loved to have fun. Her spirit was vibrant, and her enthusiasm for life was contagious. She had a way of bringing people together, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Perhaps one of the greatest reflections of Aida's life is the number of people who loved her. She leaves behind her son Ronald Bray, her sister Ana Hanna, and a community of close friends who cherished her deeply. Those friendships were built on loyalty, trust, and genuine affection. Aida invested in people, and in return, she was surrounded by lasting friendships and meaningful connections. The love her friends feel for her today is a testament to the beautiful person she was.

While we mourn her loss, we also give thanks for the gift of having known her. We are grateful for her compassion, her generosity, her wisdom, her laughter, and her friendship. We are grateful for the countless ways she made our lives better simply by being a part of them.

Aida's legacy is not only in what she accomplished but in how she made people feel: valued, supported, loved, and cared for. That legacy will continue to live on in the lives she touched, the students she inspired, the friends she cherished, and the family and community who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

As we say goodbye, let us remember Aida not only for the loss we feel, but for the life she lived so beautifully. Let us honor her by showing the same kindness, generosity, and love that she shared so freely with others.

Aida will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever treasured.

May she rest in peace.

She is preceded in death by Edel Serra.

Cremation was entrusted to Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
